MCR welcomes 23 new Radiologists!
After recently growing its geographic coverage area and total study volume by over one third, Medical Center Radiologists (MCR) has hired a significant number of new, highly trained subspecialty diagnostic and interventional radiologists to join the MCR team to help serve the Hampton Roads Community.
Dr. Peter Van Geertruyden lectures at annual VPMA Scientific Session
MCR musculoskeletal radiologist Peter Van Geertruyden, MD, FACR, was an invited lecturer at the Virginia Podiatric Medical Association (VPMA) Annual Scientific Meeting held at the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront from August 10-13, 2023. The topic of his lecture was “Interesting Sports Cases of the Foot and Ankle.
MCR Radiologist featured in The Virginian Pilot
MCR radiologist Dr. Jose Morey was featured in a front page *Virginian Pilot *article discussing artificial intelligence in the realm of health care. In addition to being a fellowship trained Musculoskeletal Radiologist, Dr. Morey is considered an international leader in exponential technology innovation and excels at leading multidisciplinary teams that sit at the epicenter of biotechnology, AI, and aerospace.
MCR sponsors Hampton Roads Refugee Relief Event
Medical Center Radiologists (MCR) was a proud participant and sponsor of a recent evening dinner fundraising event hosted by the Hampton Roads Refugee Relief Organization, a women led organization whose mission is to “support refugees and their families on their journey to becoming fully integrated, contributing members of our Hampton Roads community.”
MCR participates in ACR 2023 Capitol Hill Day
The annual ACR meeting culminated in Capitol Hill Day, during which Drs. Specht and Van Geertruyden along with Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) Radiology Resident Dr. Michael Pender made office calls with staff from Representative Bobby Scott, Representative Jennifer Kiggans, Senator Tim Kaine, and Senator Mark Warner.
