Open Radiologist Positions

Breast Imaging

MCR is searching for a fellowship-trained breast imager interested in joining our existing team of experienced breast radiologists covering MCR's northern service out of Williamsburg Community Hospital. This area is experiencing fast growth and requires a full-time, dedicated onsite breast imager. This position can be 100% breast imaging Monday through Friday, either employed or one-year partnership track.

Interventional Radiology

MCR is seeking a fellowship-trained Interventional radiologist to join our team in our Williamsburg/Hampton Section. This section covers hospitals in the Williamsburg and Hampton area and offers a mix of community-focused IR services. Some diagnostic radiology (DR) duties are required. Academic involvement with EVMS at ODU is also an option for those interested in teaching. We encourage both experienced interventional radiologists and current fellows to apply.

Pediatric Radiology

MCR is seeking a fellowship-trained pediatric radiologist to join our thriving pediatric division. Interest or additional training in Pediatric Neuroradiology is preferred but not necessary. The MCR Pediatric Team has seven fellowship-trained pediatric radiologists. Our pediatric radiologists staff the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters radiology department in Norfolk, VA. They also read all imaging studies performed at CHKD outpatient facilities.

Neuroradiology

MCR is searching for a neuroradiologist interested in working in an advanced, multi-disciplinary neurology and neurosurgical program. The position will encompass the full range of neuroimaging in both the hospital and outpatient settings and include the opportunity to participate in multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards as the imaging specialist. Angiography and higher-level procedural skills are not required. No mammography is required unless capable and interested. Limited evening/night shifts as these are generally covered by a combination of residents and an internal pool of overnight radiologists. Opportunity for clinical research and teaching through the affiliated radiology residency program.

Body Imaging

MCR is searching for talented body imagers to help service advanced urology, GI, thoracic, and vascular service lines, as well as a multidisciplinary oncology program. The position will encompass the full range of diagnostic imaging in both the hospital and outpatient settings and include the opportunity to participate in multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards as the imaging specialist. Angiography and higher-level procedural skills are not required. No mammography is required unless capable and interested. Limited evening/night shifts as these are generally covered by a combination of residents and an internal pool of overnight radiologists. Opportunity for clinical research and teaching through the affiliated radiology residency program.

Dedicated Swing or Night Shift Teleradiologist:

MCR is seeking additional swing and night shift teleradiologists.

Evening Swing Shift - 4:00 pm - 12:00 am EST

• 7 On - 14 Off
• 122 shifts per year (8-hour shifts)
• $44 per wRVU for the first 70 per shift
• $50 per wRVU for all over 70 per shift

Night Shift – 11:00 pm – 7:00 am EST

• 7 on – 14 Off
• 122 shifts per year (8-hour shifts)
• $48 per wRVU for the first 70 per shift
• $55 per wRVU for all over 70 per shift

Flexible Teleradiology:

• M-F (teleradiologists can read any time of the day)
• Compensation: $35.00 per wRVU
• Productivity: Daily minimum 35 wRVUs - maximum 85 wRVUs
• Commitment to a weekly schedule with an ideal 36 weeks minimum
• No weekends or holidays
• Case mix of CT (chest, spine, abd/pelvis), plain film, US
• Workstation provided
• This position is ideal for a productive radiologist who is seeking a full-time teleradiology position but desires flexible daytime hours. Read when convenient, not on an hourly shift.
