John Plemmons, MDBreast Imaging
Dr. Plemmons grew up in Hampton, Virginia and has lived in Virginia all of his life. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia and began a career in banking. His interest in medicine took seed while volunteering Saturday mornings at Norfolk General helping cancer patients undergoing treatment. After completion of his radiology residency, Dr. Plemmons was honored to serve in the US Air Force for 4 years stationed at Langley AFB. Finishing his breast fellowship after leaving the Air Force, he now dedicates his professional life helping to diagnose breast cancer at its earliest possible stage so that treatment has the greatest chance of success.
Dr. Plemmons currently lives in southeastern Virginia Beach with his wife, son, and three dogs. Other than his family, his passions include college football and gardening.
