Shannon Wilson, MDBreast Imaging
Dr. Wilson is fellowship trained in Mammography, Breast Ultrasound, and Breast MRI with a special interest in the diagnosis and management of benign and malignant breast disease. She performs interventional breast procedures, including biopsies and localizations by stereotactic, ultrasound, and MRI image guidance. Her particular areas of interest include the imaging assessment of breast cancer status post neoadjuvant chemotherapy, community outreach and education, wellness, and educating the next generation of physicians as a community faculty member of her alma mater Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Wilson was born and raised in Hampton Roads, completed her medical training at EVMS, joined the MCR staff who trained her, and is passionate about serving and giving back to her community.
In her spare time, Dr. Wilson enjoys all aspects of music, including singing, playing guitar and piano, and attending live music events. She also enjoys the outdoors, and loves to hike, bike, and kayak, as well as spend time at the beach or the mountains. She also likes traveling and documenting her journeys through landscape photography and scrapbooking.
