William Boyd, MD

Dr. Boyd is a fellowship trained radiologist specialized in musculoskeletal imaging and procedures. He grew up in the Hampton Roads area before attending the University of Virginia where he graduated from the engineering school with highest distinction. He remained at the University of Virginia for medical school where he developed a passion for medical imaging and physical fitness. This led to a career in diagnostic radiology with a focus on musculoskeletal imaging. While Dr. Boyd has a wide range of interests in medical imaging, he is particularly passionate about the diagnosis and treatment of athletic injuries and degenerative diseases of joints and the spine. He is also interested in medical education and created the interactive educational website Radiology Revealed during medical school and residency that has been used by thousands of people around the world.

Outside of work Dr. Boyd enjoys staying active, including weightlifting, hiking, skiing, and sailing.
