Pediatric radiologists are experts in using imaging to diagnose diseases and injuries in children of all ages. After graduating from medical school, pediatric radiologists spend 5 years in general radiology training, including one year of more general clinical medical training. This is followed by one or more years of additional training in pediatric radiology. Our four pediatric radiologists are each certified by the American Board of Radiology with advanced certificates specific to pediatric radiology.
Our pediatric radiologists staff the radiology department at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk, VA. They also read all imaging studies performed at CHKD outpatient facilities. We understand that children and their families have unique needs when it comes to diagnostic tests. The MCR pediatric radiologists and the staff at CHKD do their best to make children comfortable before and during their exam. They also tailor each exam to use the lowest possible radiation dose based on age and size.
When your child needs imaging test, trust the pediatric radiology experts at Medical Center Radiologists.
