meet Derek Cousins, PA-C
Originally from New Jersey, PA Derek Cousins joined Medical Center Radiologists in 2024 after earning his Master of Physician Assistant from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is a current member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants.
Prior to his PA journey, Derek graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in History. After working for two NBA teams, he moved to the Hampton Roads area in 2015 and served as a firefighter/paramedic with both the Newport News Fire Department and Norfolk Fire-Rescue.
PA Cousins resides in Norfolk, VA. He enjoys playing sports and a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking and camping with his family. A self-proclaimed foodie, you can find him around Hampton Roads discovering new foods at local restaurants and shopping for new recipes.
