Sentara Norfolk General Hospital: A Level 1 Trauma Center
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital (SNGH) is the only Level I Trauma Center, Quaternary Care Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center in the Tidewater area. SNGH is also a teaching hospital which means our radiologists perform cutting-edge research while training the next generation of physicians. We are proud to offer the Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) fellowship program at our institution.
Sentara Leigh Hospital is a top level cardiac and orthopaedic hospital and has one of the area’s busiest emergency departments. This means our radiologists have a multitude of experience treating complex and difficult disease processes.

All of MCR’s interventional radiologists are board certified or board eligible physicians with additional specialized training in their field. They are Assistant Professors at the Virginia Medical School at Old Dominion University and regularly give lectures to residents, medical students and physicians throughout the community.
