Nuclear Medicine

Medical Center Radiologists (MCR) offers advanced nuclear medicine and molecular imaging services designed to detect disease at its earliest stages, oftentimes before symptoms even appear. Our nuclear radiologists use cutting-edge tools such as SPECT/CT, cardiac nuclear imaging and PET/CT to diagnose and monitor a wide range of conditions, including cancer, heart disease, infections and organ function. By administering safe, targeted radiotracers, we can visualize metabolic activity and cellular changes throughout the body allowing for highly precise detection.

PET/CT

Our PET/CT scanning is a cutting-edge nuclear medicine technique that combines the metabolic insights of positron emission tomography (PET) with the structural detail of computed tomography (CT) all in one scan. PET/CT is commonly used in cancer staging, evaluating pulmonary nodules and diagnosing neurological conditions such as memory disorders. It is also non-invasive, making it a valuable alternative to biopsy and other procedures. An important and powerful diagnostic radiology tool, the PET/CT technology enables our radiologists to detect disease earlier, track treatment response and guide clinical decisions with greater accuracy.
