Meet Dr. Pawankumar Chitta
Dr. Pawankumar Chitta completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Delaware, where he also served as a transitional year resident. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree magna cum laude from St. George’s University School of Medicine and holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Eastern Virginia Medical School.
Throughout his training, Dr. Chitta has demonstrated a passion for education and quality improvement, leading initiatives to enhance resident preparedness and presenting scholarly work at national radiology meetings, including the Society of Abdominal Radiology. His research interests include abdominal imaging, contrast-enhanced ultrasound, and radiology education.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Chitta enjoys spending time with his family—especially his newborn daughter—along with hiking, mountain biking, and exploring world cuisines. He is also an avid car enthusiast, traveler, and tennis player.
