meet dr. Prasanti Vachhani
Dr. Prasanti Vachhani is board certified diagnostic radiologist who completed her fellowship training in breast imaging. As a breast radiologist, she specializes in the detection and management of both benign and malignant breast diseases. She interprets a variety of imaging modalities including mammography, ultrasound and MRI. She also performs image guided interventional breast procedures to include biopsies, aspirations, preoperative localizations and ductograms.
Dr. Vachhani was raised and educated locally in the Hampton Roads area. She completed a 7 year combined BS/MD program with Old Dominion University and Eastern Virginia Medical School. She left the Hampton Roads area to complete her training but returned shortly after to serve the community in which she was raised. Dr. Vachhani has a passion for art and enjoys any moment of creativity. She enjoys being a breast radiologist because it combines her interests in the imaging and art of medicine while directly participating in the care of patients in the Hampton Roads community.
